Kobe Maid Cafes: 8 Spots Near Sannomiya Station (2026)

Kobe's maid cafe and concept cafe scene is small and walkable. Almost everything sits within a few blocks of Sannomiya Station, on Nakayamate-dori, Shimoyamate-dori, Kitanagasa-dori and Kano-cho, so you can look at several places on one evening without taking a train. Every shop below is listed with the JR Sannomiya Station as its nearest station.
One thing to know before you go: most of these are evening places. Several open at 6pm, and a few open in the afternoon, so check the hours below and the shop's X account before heading out.
What to expect
Kobe has a mix of classic maid cafes and bars, idol-style concept cafes, and some more unusual themes (a cat cafe-bar, a vampire shisha bar, a gothic-lolita bar). Prices vary by shop. Three of them (Linaria, I's Melty and Lily Maid) share the same published cover charge: ¥1,000 for the first hour for men and ¥800 for women, listed as common to the three M's GROUP shops. Luvsin lists a ¥1,000 one-hour cover, and Equal Garden lists a one-hour all-you-can-drink plan at ¥2,500 (before tax). Other shops don't publish prices in our data, so ask when you sit down. For a general price breakdown, see how much a maid cafe costs in Japan.

- Chéri Le Port — a maid cafe and bar on the 2nd floor of the Goldwoods Building on Nakayamate-dori, where maids welcome you home as master or mistress. It opens at 5pm on weekdays and 3pm on weekends and holidays.
Idol-style and themed concept cafes
- Linaria — an idol-themed concept cafe and bar on the 3rd floor of the Kusunoki Building on Nakayamate-dori, built around idols-in-the-making. Look for the blue neon sign. Costumed cast, drinks and cheki photos; opens at 6pm.
- Luvsin — an angel-and-little-devil idol concept cafe in Kano-cho, about 3 minutes on foot from Sannomiya Station. It offers one-drink and all-you-can-drink plans, with prices on the official page: ¥1,000 cover per hour, and 60-minute all-you-can-drink at ¥2,500 (alcohol) or ¥2,000 (soft drinks), tax included.
- I's Melty — gothic lolita and jirai-kei fashion in a pink-and-black interior, on the 4th floor of the Daini Tsuji Building. Costumed cast, drinks and cheki; opens at 6pm.
- Cafe & Bar Mofumofu — a cat-themed cafe-bar on Nakayamate-dori where the cast are introduced as the day's cats on duty. Open 6pm to 11pm on weekdays and 2pm to 11pm on weekends; daily shifts are posted on its X account.
- Empire Kobe — a vampire-themed shisha cafe bar on the 2nd floor of the J Tower Building, next to Don Quijote. Open 5pm to 11pm every day, with cast and guest information posted daily on X.
- Equal Garden — a concept cafe and bar built around reasonable accommodation, so everyone can enjoy it on equal terms. It has a wide range of drinks and karaoke, and its official X says it does not do street touting. Closed on Mondays; open 13:00 on weekends and from 18:00 on weekday evenings.
Which one should you pick?

- Want idol-style cast and cheki: Linaria or Luvsin, both on the idol cafes in Kobe list.
- Want an earlier start: Equal Garden and Mofumofu open in the afternoon on weekends. Chéri Le Port opens at 3pm on weekends and holidays.

Tips
- Closing days are irregular at several shops (Linaria, I's Melty, Lily Maid, Luvsin), so check their X or Instagram on the day.
- Many of these are bars as well as cafes, and the drink-based pricing is different from a daytime maid cafe. If this is your first time, how to visit a maid cafe and nervous about your first maid cafe cover the basics.
- Shops on the same block are close together: Linaria, Chéri Le Port and Mofumofu are all on Nakayamate-dori.
